Our Project




Our current project is a cutting-edge soccer-playing robot, meticulously designed to excel in the RoboCup Junior Soccer Open category. This robot is the culmination of our deep understanding and integration of mechanical design, camera vision, and advanced sensor systems, all working in harmony to achieve peak performance on the field.
At the heart of our robot is a robust mechanical design, engineered for agility and precision. Every component has been carefully selected and optimized to ensure that our robot can move swiftly and accurately, handling the rigors of competitive play with ease. The robot's structure is built to withstand the fast-paced dynamics of a soccer match, providing both stability and flexibility in its movements.
To enhance our robot's situational awareness, we have incorporated advanced camera vision systems. These systems allow the robot to effectively scan and interpret the playing field, identify the ball, and track the positions of other players in real-time. This vision capability is crucial for strategic decision-making, enabling the robot to navigate the field, avoid obstacles, and position itself optimally to make plays.
Complementing the camera vision, our robot is equipped with advanced sensor systems that provide a comprehensive understanding of its environment. These sensors include gyroscopes, accelerometers, and proximity detectors, all working together to ensure the robot maintains balance, detects collisions, and measures distances accurately. This sensory data is vital for the robot's precise movements and reactive behavior, allowing it to respond quickly to changing conditions on the field.
Together, these technologies create a soccer-playing robot that is not only a feat of engineering but also a dynamic competitor on the field. Our goal is to continuously refine and advance this project, pushing the limits of what autonomous robots can achieve in the world of competitive robotics.
About Our Team
Welcome to the official website of ZG24Robotics, a passionate and driven team competing in the RoboCup Junior Soccer Open category. We are a group of four dedicated students—Jakov Džijan, Ivan Matošević, Ivan Perko, and Borut Patčev—united by our love for robotics and technology. Over the years, we have immersed ourselves in the world of robotics, honing our skills and earning multiple awards in international competitions.
At ZG24Robotics, our mission is to push the boundaries of what autonomous robots can achieve. We design, build, and program our robots to compete on the world stage, constantly striving for innovation, precision, and excellence. Our project's objective is to build a high-performance, competitive soccer-playing robot to compete in the RoboCupJunior Soccer Open category. We are focused on developing robots that can autonomously navigate the field, make real-time decisions, and effectively interact with the ball and other players. Our journey has been marked by hard work, creativity, and teamwork, and we are proud to represent Croatia in the RoboCup Junior Soccer Open category.
This year, we achieved a remarkable 4th place at the World Championships in Eindhoven, a testament to our dedication and expertise. However, we are always looking to improve and reach new heights.
